Village Fireworks Show Report 2025

This year’s Eynsford Village Fireworks honoured founder John Stapleton and the event was a fitting tribute to the legacy he created. A special beer was even brewed for the event, “John Stapleton IPA”, thoughtfully crafted by Shoreham-based Stay Wild Brewery. The event itself was truly spectacular, encompassing breathtaking fireworks enhanced with multiple lasers and flame throwers, much to the amazement of an adoring crowd. Event improvements included a food/refreshment court and toilets.

We are extremely grateful to our primary sponsors, Alexander Farming, ER Productions and Phoenix Fireworks, who were pivotal to the event as well as the many local companies that generously supported us. And huge thanks to the army of volunteers who came together to make this event run so smoothly under the expert guidance of Goc O’Callaghan, who managed the event and ensured that all the tasks were safe, appropriately assigned, whilst keeping a sharp eye on regulatory matters. Goc enthused: “For me personally, the Eynsford Fireworks event has always been my favourite day in the village, as it brings together so many local people. There is a buzz in the air on the day of the event—an energy that fills our village as our community comes together on a grand scale. The event itself has always been a celebration of the various communities and organisations that keep Eynsford thriving with a busy calendar of events, as they come together to unite as one in the delivery of the event. The fireworks themselves, set off against the backdrop of Eynsford Village Fireworks, makes our village event unique from others. When it was thought that there may no longer be a village fireworks event, it felt as though there would be something so important missing from the village—a sentiment that echoed far and wide. It is with the efforts of many people that the return of Eynsford Village Fireworks became a reality. However, it is not just the fireworks event itself that would have been at risk of not returning had all these people not stepped up to bring it back—many family traditions would also have been lost—from sparklers in the garden with family members, to communal gatherings for chilli and games nights, to the mass ingress to The Five Bells pub. Eynsford Village Fireworks really is such an important event for our community, and what a privilege to play my part in continuing its legacy.” We’re already preparing for next year’s event to be held on the 14th November 2026, so make a diary entry now. Tickets will be available from early September.

The sponsors, who help underwrite the event, were most generous. We extend our sincere gratitude to all the volunteers, many from outside our community,
as well as to the suppliers, whose collective efforts resulted in an exceptional
evening of entertainment for the village. Apologies if we have missed anyone.
